Mission Statement
We provide child care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Older children up to 12 years can be considered on a per client basis. One month old infants will be considered with a Doctor’s written order. We encourage children to be kind and display respect toward others. We believe that every child has unique gifts and abilities that are to be celebrated and nurtured. Also, we believe that every child and his or her family deserve equitable access to appropriate services and supports that acknowledge their uniqueness and enable them to reach their full potential. They are to be cared for in this way because the early years hold enormous promise for every child to reach his or her full potential. We believe that every child learns within the context of relationships and through playful interactions within their environments. In addition, we feel it is important to provide a caring, clean and safe environment for children to learn and grow.
Philosophy Statement
As a professional child care provider, we are committed to being a positive role model for the children in our care. Also, we are committed to involving families and communities as partners and decision makers. To have their involvement, it is important for any biases to be overcome and to build trust that will establish collaborative partnerships that benefit children, their families, and the professionals that work with them. Choices, flexibility, and continuity of services and supports for families within communities are a key factor to establishing these partnerships. We are committed to advancing advocacy efforts for inclusive practices that build upon unique child, family and community strengths and are accountable to all children and their families. This commitment is shown by making a variety of services and support available so all children have access to and can participate in opportunities that are both respectful of and responsive to their family experiences, culture, beliefs, abilities, and circumstances. This commitment will be done in a way that the children feel safe and comfortable in their environment so they can develop intellectually, physically and emotionally to the best of their ability.
Curriculum Statement
We believe in having a good daily scheduled curriculum that allows the children to learn and be challenged in their thinking. Learning centers can provide a stable environment that the children can go back to and build on what they have learned before .Our curriculum promotes the active engagement of children with play as the primary mode of learning. With this, they are given opportunities to make choices, to experiment and explore. This in turn, will promote the social and emotional development of the children. By doing this, it shows we promote every New Mexico citizen’s understanding of the importance of high-quality, inclusive early childhood programs and practices. This will support interactions and relationships that foster self-reflection. This is done by utilizing information about the growth, development, and experiences of individual children and families for program and curriculum development and improvement. We strive to continuously improve services and supports by evaluating current practices and incorporating effective methods, models, and research in our work with children and families. We promote the establishment of aligned services and supports that build on both the unique assets of each child and acknowledge the strengths of children’s and families’ heritage, language, and culture. We ensure that the services and supports are provided by people who reflect the diversity of the community, are well educated and compensated. In addition, we establish an integrated, multidisciplinary system of professional development, training, and technical assistance that supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of practices that are respectful of and responsive to each child and family.
